Elijah James Worley
A lot has happened since the last post. I have plenty of pictures to prove it. Ahhh, someday perhaps I will post them, along with the rest of the pictures from France (from Sept 2009!). For now, I will just concentrate on the most important event in the Worley family in 2010, the birth of Elijah James Worley on December 18!
Jay called us Friday evening (December 17) to tell us they were going to the hospital. He sent texts through the night. Finally the call that little Eli was here! He and Sarah were hungry! So we stopped by the Raven for some breakfast tacos! Here is Hannah wishing them well!
Jay and Sarah had a plan this time! So, Ava got to meet her new baby brother before anyone else did. She was all dressed up in her new Big Sister shirt that her clever Mommy had made her. She even had a Big Sister bag full of surprises.
We actually did not stay long, but long enough for all of us to hold Eli ( or as Ava says "Baby Eyi")
Our first picture of all three of us together! Next time -- someone tell me to hold my head up!
All of us taking turns holding the baby gave Jay and Sarah a chance to eat!

Proud Dad!
It is so considerate of our grandchildren to arrive on a weekend when everyone is available to go visit!
Ava was born on a Sunday, Eli on Saturday. I hope that continues to be true for all our grandchildren!
I rarely see Eli awake. He loves to eat and sleep and grow! He is already over 7 lbs. Here is the last picture I have of him.
"Grandchildren are the crown of grandparents,
and parents are the glory of their children."
and parents are the glory of their children."
Proverbs 17:6
