Christmas Eve at Jenni and Rod's

Christmas Eve dinner this year was at Jenni and Rod's house for the first time.  Rod's family always has steaks for Christmas dinner ( it is summer in Chile), so we have continued that tradition since Rod has been in the states.  Jay and Sarah usually spend Christmas Eve with her family.  And of course this year was special because it was little Eli's first Christmas!

Jenni and Rod had recently purchased a new table and chairs.  She sets a lovely table, doesn't she?
Do we look like we are ready for a banquet?  Well, we were!  I really wish I had taken a picture of the food, too.  You can just barely see it on the table.  The steak was prime rib, loaded mashed potatoes, salad.
We used the ceramic napkin holders that my mother made for me many years ago.  It was good to continue the tradition.
Not too much to tell here.  Just a lovely evening hosted by my wonderful daughter and her husband.  The food was wonderful, and we played a Chilean card game after dinner.  Now the dessert was extra awesome.  Our family really loves dump cake.  Jenni has now topped her dad in this recipe!  She made an apple dump cake...melted in your mouth good!

"4So I will thank you as long as I live.
I will lift up my hands to pray in your name.
5You satisfy my soul with the richest foods.
My mouth will sing your praise with joyful lips."
Psalm 63:4-5

Looks wonderful! I can't wait to see their place. The new table is beautiful, and I love the napkin rings! I actually noticed those in the very first picture. Looks like you guys had a very nice dinner.
