Ava at the Playground

The last Friday of the month, our Spanish congregation has a party.  This month it was at the park.  So, we decided to take Ava to the park and join them!  We all like hot dogs, after all! This park has an awesome playground!  We had so much fun, we may have to go back!  It is even sturdy enough for adults!  She was posing for me in this picture, but she actually climbed that ladder to get there!  Who knew?! Jenni helped her down the first slide.  She needed to have one of us hold her hand.  She doesn't look the least afraid, does she? Now she is on a taller slide!  Looks a little skeptical that she can do this.  Jenni could not quite reach her, so what you don't see is Grammy at the top holding her other hand so she could slide down to Jenni's hand and then slide on down.  Before we left, she could slide all by herself all the way down to her Pop's waiting arms at the bottom. White Coat Ceremony

Je Jenni is now a student in the Physician's Assistant Program at UNT Health Science Center in Ft Worth.  She is pictured above with my friend Pam Wuollet's daughter, Sarah.    So handy to have a friend with a name close in the alphabet to you!  Every picture I took, DID NOT turn out!  I did not know digital cameras could eat your pictures, but apparently they can!  So the picture above is courtesy of my friend Pam, taken before the actual ceremony. You may wonder what a White Coat Ceremony is or why there is such a thing.  I pasted the information from the UNT website below: "Students will receive white coats symbolizing their careers in medicine. This event encourages a psychological contract for professionalism and empathy and the incoming students will take an oath acknowledging their responsibilities and willingness to assume the obligations of their new professions.
