Happy Birthday, Abby!
Happy Birthday, Abby! I can hardly believe she is already Two Years Old! She is no longer Baby Abby, sniff, sniff. I would get a tissue to blot my eyes, but Abby emptied the Kleenex box the last time she was here :).
It all started with a very cute invitation which we received about a week ago.
I bet you can tell her Birthday party was an Elmo birthday party. The only time you see Abby KaDabby (how do you spell that?) is on the cake. There were Elmo globes, Elmo fruit trays, and of course, Elmo plates and napkins. So Fun!
And what blog post would be complete without a picture of the Birthday Girl with her Mama!
Rod and Jenni went all out for this party! It was held in the back yard. Rod personally constructed the tables for the adults. They look awesome. But even better than that was the little kids tables made out of the two trees we recently had to have taken down (before they fell down!). There were several of these, and painted cinder blocks for the kids to sit on. You will see one of them up close and personal in the picture of Abby blowing out her candles.
She is a good blower, but it still took more than one attempt. She was very serious about blowing out those candles!
And of course, she was rewarded with cake for her efforts!
Another couple of pictures showing the kids tables and the back yard.
An especially nice touch was in the play yard on the wall. I really never got a good picture of the Play Area. There's a swing set, a glider swing, a Little Tykes slide, a sand box, and I cannot remember what else. On the wall next to the house, Rod hung a chalkboard. I believe the kids got to color on it, too. Jenni was passing out chalk.
I accidentally took a video in slow motion while I was trying to take pictures of Abby opening her presents. I am including it anyway! It's only 4 seconds.
Abby had such a good time, and so did Keely. This is such a cute picture of the two of them together! Hard to believe Miss Keely is Nine Months old. She is preparing to crawl like crazy, although mostly she has gone backwards when she's with me. Any day now.
This is a collage of pictures from Abby's First Birthday Party.
Oh, my, how she has changed in a year!
And lastly, my favorite One Year Old picture of Abby. So very adorable!
"You who respect the Lord should trust Him;
He is your helper and your protection.
The Lord remembers us and will bless us.
He will bless the family of Israel;
He will bless the family of Aaron.
The Lord will bless those who respect Him,
From the smallest to the greatest."
Psalm 115:11-13
