White Coat Ceremony
Jenni is now a student in the Physician's Assistant Program at UNT Health Science Center in Ft Worth. She is pictured above with my friend Pam Wuollet's daughter, Sarah. So handy to have a friend with a name close in the alphabet to you! Every picture I took, DID NOT turn out! I did not know digital cameras could eat your pictures, but apparently they can! So the picture above is courtesy of my friend Pam, taken before the actual ceremony.
You may wonder what a White Coat Ceremony is or why there is such a thing. I pasted the information from the UNT website below:
"Students will receive white coats symbolizing their careers in medicine. This event encourages a psychological contract for professionalism and empathy and the incoming students will take an oath acknowledging their responsibilities and willingness to assume the obligations of their new professions. "
The Physician Assistant Students received their coats in the same ceremony as the first year Medical students. It was truly an awesome ceremony. Like going to graduation, only more fun! The Keynote speaker was a physician; she gave a really inspiring address. Made me wish I was a student!
Then the students walked across the stage as their names were called, and a member of the Medical School faculty put the coat on the student. It was so much fun watching Jenni receive her coat!
We are so proud of Jenni! She will be the best P.A. that every lived!

and she laughs with no fear of the future."
