Ava at the Playground
The last Friday of the month, our Spanish congregation has a party. This month it was at the park. So, we decided to take Ava to the park and join them! We all like hot dogs, after all!
Now she is on a taller slide! Looks a little skeptical that she can do this. Jenni could not quite reach her, so what you don't see is Grammy at the top holding her other hand so she could slide down to Jenni's hand and then slide on down. Before we left, she could slide all by herself all the way down to her Pop's waiting arms at the bottom.
And just another cute picture of my favorite girl!
After we had eaten, some of the other little girls were playing on a bike. They were nice enough to give Ava a turn. She actually did very well. She has been saying she wants a tricycle for her birthday next month. Take a look -- think she is ready?
This park has an awesome playground! We had so much fun, we may have to go back! It is even sturdy enough for adults! She was posing for me in this picture, but she actually climbed that ladder to get there! Who knew?!
Jenni helped her down the first slide. She needed to have one of us hold her hand. She doesn't look the least afraid, does she?Now she is on a taller slide! There was a cute little bridge connecting two partsof the playset. Ava had a great deal of fun walking back and forth, trailing her arms behind her. She got faster and faster. She wanted me to be up there, too, and then practiced running and jumping at me.

"So I concluded that
there is nothing better for people
than to be happy
and to enjoy themselves
as long as they can."
