Meet Miss Rebolledo

Miss Rebolledo was due on October 9.  We seriously were not expecting her before then.  We got back from vacation on September 21.  Jenni came home on the 25th from the Drs. office with an "any day now" prognosis.  We still did not believe.  But, like good Grandparents, we had our "Go Bags" ready in case indeed she came early.  Oh, by the way, we did not know the name at this point, so we called her Baby Lucy (after Lucy Ricardo).

The plan if Lucy came at night:  when we got "the call", grab the bags, head to Jenni's, and go back to bed.  If we got "the call" during the day, pick up Abby and head back to our house.

So, at 0400 on September 30, we got "THE CALL"!  Jenni had been having contractions, minor ones, the evening before, so we weren't too surprised.  And yet we were!  And So Excited!  All we grabbed was the iPads, the chargers, and headed over.  Abby slept through it all, including the dog barking when we got there.

Our plan:  sleep until Abby woke up.  We were too excited to sleep, but we caught a few winks.  Abby wasn't up before 10.  We fed her breakfast, and waited.  And. Waited.  Reports from Rod indicated things were moving along quickly.  We had reports that Ava Worley was so excited she was getting a cousin for her birthday!

1159, Miss Rebolledo was born.  We got a picture pretty quickly.  Already cute.

And a picture of Jenni and the baby that was oh, so beautiful!

We had to wait until we got to the hospital to find out the baby's name.  Seriously, they made us wait!
It was so good to meet Miss Keely Sofia Rebolledo!  This is Abby on her way to meet her sister!
Abby:  What's a sister?

Abby meets her sister.  She is very curious.  But everyone survives.

We are not great photographers.  Everyone was busy passing the baby around, or entertaining Miss Abby.  Jenni and Rod probably took a ton of pictures, but I did not.  We kept Abby for two nights.  She proved to be very cooperative.  She slept all night both nights.  Grammy did not.  I slept in the guest room because I was afraid I would not hear her cry across the house in my room.  Abby had a lot of fun with Grammy and Pop.

Finally Miss Keely came home.  Wearing the same dress her sister wore on her ride home.
Starting a Rebolledo family tradition.
Isn't she beautiful?!

First picture of Abby meeting Keely at home.
Three gorgeous Rebolledo girls!

First picture of the new family at home:

Miss Keely has settled right in, ruling the household!  She snoozes, and eats, and is pretty quiet.  Abby is still her normal busy self.  Loves to share things with her sister.  And she lets all of us hold her as much as we want!
