End of the School Year Fun

Hard to believe Ava has completed her second year of Preschool!  Her program this year was fun and attended by all of us.  She had a lot of fun onstage.  She is a great little performer!  Here she is waving at her Mommy and Daddy.

I loved that there was a little girl in front of Ava with a big flower in her hair.  It was dark in the auditorium and that made it so much easier to zoom in on Ava.

Here she is really getting into those hand motions!  Preschool programs are so much fun for everyone!

Next on the agenda, long weekend vacation for Mom and Dad, while Ava and Eli had a vacation with Grammy and Pop, and then Grandma.  Ava got a new dress just for the occasion.  We had promised her that we would go to Chuck E Cheese.  Can you see her little dance in progress?  She was so excited!

Jenni and Rod went with us, so we were quite the merry little party.  Enough of us to divide and conquer!  You can see how excited Eli was to be there.  At this moment, he was more interested in having dinner!

However, he soon got into the thick of things!  Loved this Barney ride!

And he loves to slide!  Pop is going to miss helping him slide!  Ava is right behind him, waiting patiently for her turn.

Ava, in the meantime, has been running around the place with Rod and Jenni playing games and winning tickets.  She had so much fun.  And it looks like Uncle Rod is getting exhausted!

Ava turned in all her tickets for a necklace and a ring.  She has managed to keep up with them, too.  The ring seems to stay over here a lot, and the necklace goes with her Princess outfits.  Here is a picture of the Princess with her prizes.

Ahh, the evening came to a close too soon!  Time to go home, take a bath, get in our jammies, and go to bed.  Eli always goes to bed easily.  He was absolutely tuckered out at the end of this evening.  He was asleep before we could turn on his music and walk out of the room!  Here they are, playing a game, enjoying some milk and cookies right before bed.

A good time was had by all!  Ava continued her habit of getting up early on Saturday,  We had breakfast, and had to take her to ballet practice.  Eli fell asleep in his carseat after we dropped Ava off.  So we drove around the Ballet School neighborhood and remembered all the places we had been to in our younger days.  Speaking of our younger days, Mike's twin brother, Pat, sent us this picture recently.  Hard to believe we were ever this young!

And to finish our end of the school year, Ava had her Ballet recital.  This was an actual Ballet Production featuring every student in the school.  A presentation of Hansel and Gretel.  It was good.  Ava and her group were flowers.  They were all so cute!  Ava is third from the left.

And of course our little ballerina received flowers and a bouquet of candy kisses.  Her cousin Bella came for the performance.  Love the poses!

Time is flying by just as fast as it did when my kids were little.  Ava has one more year of Preschool, then on to kindergarten.  Next summer she will be old enough to go to day camp at Camp Deer Run.  It would be fun to take Ava, Sarah, and Eli,  go stay in a hotel with a pool and let her go to camp.  We may have to all go visit camp on a Sunday this summer.
