Eating with Ava

Ava in her high chair
Ava is a true Worley. Or, if you use her mom's maiden name, she is a REAL WORLEY. She loves to eat! I guess all the Worleys love to eat, because there are some pretty amazing cooks in the family. I have lots of pictures of Ava around food. Mostly taken at The Raven restaurant, because we eat there a lot! (I am NOT one of the amazing cooks in theWorley family!)

Ava loves her Cheerios! I know she looks like she is yawning, but she actually just put a cheerio in her mouth. She doesn't really have the thumb to forefinger ability yet, so she just uses her whole hand. She slaps her hand down on a cheerio, folds her fingers around it, and then heads for her mouth! However, she misses a lot, too. Under the chair was covered in cheerios that night -- we tipped extra!

This is Ava's signal that she wants more. Always accompanied by a sound or two, and the slapping of the hand on the table.

Look at the cute little double chin she is getting. Her doctor would like her to be chubbier, but tells us she is doing great.

This picture commenorates Ava's first bowl of mashed potatoes!

We just asked for a side of mashed potatoes. The bowl was bigger than Ava!

Can you see the "Yum Yum" look on her face? We had lots of potatoes left over!

Ava provides us with lots of entertainment. But we have to bring the props! She loves her Pop's hat. Jenni put it on Ava's head. She managed to pull it off nicely!

And Ava loves her Aunt Jenni. We really enjoy spending time with the family at The Raven! NO dishes to do! Quiet enough to hear each other speak. We can play "Pass the Baby"! We can eat our favorite foods -- and teach Ava to enjoy them with us!

"My child, eat honey, for it is good,
and the honeycomb is sweet to the taste."
Proverbs 24:13

"And people should eat and drink
and enjoy the fruits of their labor,
for these are gifts from God."
Ecclesiastes 3:13
