Adventures in Babysitting Ava
Look at that cute face! Her pacifer is in a flower now that has a clip so we cannot lose it. So, no more Maggie Simpson. We now have Flower Girl (which is appropriate, since she is going to be in Aunt Jenni's wedding if we have to pull her in a wagon!)
We have been having lots of fun lately -- we have been babysitting Ava! She is so cute! We thought we had lots of experiences raising children. It never occurred to us we might have to learn new tricks with Ava! She has always been great. But when she does cry, it takes both Mike and I to figure out what she wants! Or if something needs changing!
Jenni was with us the first time Ava came over. We all had a lot of fun. Looking at the picture below, you do have to wonder if she was squeezing Ava too hard. Look at those eyes!
Ava is definitely growing up fast! As you can see below, we are already teaching her to read! Doesn't she look like she is reading? Teaching her Spanish is next!
Another picture of Jenni with Ava. Jay and Sarah were over, too. Always a fun time. We often play "Pass the Baby". Ava has just seen her mom with something to drink.
Ava has become very interested in what we are eating and drinking. She reaches for everything! We have reached the stage where you have to move everything out of her reach when you are holding her. She wanted a drink. Isn't she cute reaching for the cup? (Don't worry, it was just cold water.)
Yet another adventure -- figuring out when Ava is hungry. She is breast fed, but Sarah always leaves us a bottle of juice just in case. Doesn't she look relaxed in her Pop's arms? I will not go into detail about all the things we tried before we actually thought about hunger or thirst!
Now, look what a happy camper we have! Pop is her favorite! Don't you like that lopsided grin!
(I meant on Ava).
Don't ask me why, but Grammy always gets to have floor time with Ava. We just play. We have toys, and now we have her fingers and toes. We sing. She likes to sit in her boppy, but then again, she will scoot down and lie in it. We have discovered she likes to watch basketball. She really likes to watch it from her boppy. This is what she was doing below.
We look forward to many more Adventures in Babysitting. Ava is Adorable!
