Baby Shower for Ava Elizabeth Worley!
Today was my first time to act like a grandmother!
Sarah's mom Susan has had lots of practice at this,
but I am only a novice!
There were so many people there! Lots of Sarah's family and lots of our family. It was so exciting to have Patsy, Patty, and Joy there. And my sister Nancy, my niece-in-law, Lisa, and her two cuties, Ayden and Emilye. And I got to see Sarah's niece Bella close up. I will share a picture in a moment. Bella is what I expect Ava might look like. Very Italian.
First, a picture of the most beautiful present a new mom could ever recieve (besides the baby, of course.) Sarah's dad Terry made her a cradle! Sarah knew he was making it. When we arrived, it was all covered up. Sarah opened this gift first. And she cried. The pictures really do not do it justice.

The "W" is on the headboard, the "Tree with the swing" is on the footboard. Again, it is beautiful! Here is a shot of the whole cradle.
I did not take pictures of all the presents as they were opened. Sarah had that covered. So my pictures are mainly of things I thought you guys might like to see. Just know that if there is a cute outfit out there, Ava now has it. She got a lot of home-made items, too. Beautiful dresses, and blankets, and pillows. And lovely picture frames, receiving blankets, onesies, a boppee and cover. And Terry and Mike sent a sling, a play gym, and a car seat. At least now we know Ava can come home from the hospital!
Okay, and now a picture of the beautiful mother-to-be, Sarah. She was radiant, of course.

Sarah and Jay had "tummy" pictures made. This one was on the table with the cake. You will need to click on the picture to really enjoy it.
Emilye Althoff, Ayden Althoff, and Bella Reale. I don't know if you can tell, but Ayden's hair is spiked!
And last, finally, I got a present today, too! I have been looking for my very first brag book. I have not been able to decide what kind or what size that I wanted. My sister gave me one! I pasted it below. It is from Brighton. I love that store. Again, you will have to click on the picture to truly appreciate the detail. The clasp is so fun! A baby diaper pin with a baby shoe, a baby sock, and a baby block charm on it. I love it! Nancy and I were both Girl Scout Leaders. Thanks to Nancy, I can "Be Prepared"
